ABOUT US

The Comanche Pool Prairie Resource Foundation was formally organized in 1999 as a 501(c)3 non-profit entity by a group of five ranchers in the Red Hills region of south-central Kansas and north-central Oklahoma.

The Comanche Pool area encompasses approximately five million acres of rangeland in nine Kansas counties and seven Oklahoma counties. The Comanche Pool has 50 agreements effecting over 126,262 acres and 47.4 miles of riparian habitat.

Over $888,000 in grant funding has been secured to carry out the Comanche Pool mission. This funding was matched by over $463,270 from other partners and close to $1.2 million from landowner in-kind contributions.
